Laid to rest...

I am a HUGE Dark Souls fan. I play those games almost exclusively; I love them. The gameplay, atmosphere and, mostly, the lore all fire my imagination.

But one boss has me running scared; Dragonslayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough. For most players these two empitomise Dark Souls more than any other boss in the game - they are difficult, require expert timing, keeping your cool and management of 2 different move  sets.
I have never solo'd them; never had the balls too, always doubted my ability to. I usually summon Knight Solaire to tank one while I kill the other. Or fight alongside other players, which is always fun.

Today I did it; the ghost of doubt was laid to rest...

I feel great. My abilities have improved playing the (often unfair) DS2; you are FORCED to improve to solo that game (and I have solo'd all bosses). This led me to get the proverbial balls to attempt SmoughStein (as they are known as).
Attempt number 5 and they are down!

My build is a 2 handed zweihander with magic weapon buff, no sheild and minimal armour for fast roll - probably the ideal against these 2, but requiring of lots of dodges. It was a somewhat messy fight, requiring 2 rebuffs and chugging 8 of my 10 estus (love that SunnyD).

But it is done. The circle is complete and now I am the master...
